❤️ In Memory of William ❤️

Yesterday, our lives changed in a way I still cannot comprehend. My beautiful little boy, William, passed away unexpectedly just before his fourth birthday.

There are no words that can adequately describe William or what it means to lose him. He was funny, curious, loving, and so incredibly full of life. He was my little boy, Allison's little brother, and an irreplaceable part of our family. I still cannot understand how a world that had William in it yesterday can exist without him today.

I'm a single mother who is going through university while also working full-time. I have lost my entire life. I don't know how to move forward, and I'm scared about the financial reality of what is to come.

I'm originally from Germany and came to the United States years ago, far away from my family and the support system I grew up with. Right now, more than anything, I need to go home and be with my family while Allison and I try to survive this unimaginable loss. Traveling internationally at a moment like this brings another significant financial burden, and part of the funds raised will help cover airfare and other travel expenses so that we can be surrounded by family during the weeks ahead.

Right now, I am simply trying to get through the hours in front of me while also facing arrangements and expenses no parent ever imagines having to make for their child.

I have created this GoFundMe to help with William's funeral and memorial expenses, travel costs for Allison and me to return to Germany to be with our family, and the immediate living expenses we will face while I take time away from work to grieve and care for Allison.
