In Loving Memory of William: Supporting His Family and Sisters
Our hearts are completely shattered. On Friday night, our beloved William was tragically taken from us at just 16 years old. He was attending a Halloween party with friends when a senseless act of violence took his life—a shooting where a gunman fired blindly into a crowd of innocent teenagers. William did absolutely nothing wrong. He was just a kid trying to be a kid, caught in a nightmare no family should ever have to endure.
To anyone who knew him, William was a force of nature. He had a bigger-than-life, magnetic personality that commanded every room he walked into. He possessed a wisdom and maturity that went far beyond his 16 years. He wasn’t just a teenage boy; he was a remarkable young man who protected and loved his family with his whole entire heart.
William’s absolute passion was football. He poured his soul into the game, playing both Tight End (TE) and Defensive Line (DL) for North High School in Bakersfield. Off the field, he had big dreams. He talked about a bright future filled with nice cars and a career that would make "the big money."
The truth is, William grew up with very little, living in a proud, hard-working household with his Mom, Dad, and three little sisters who absolutely worshiped him. He didn’t complain about what he lacked—he scraped everything he had out of nothing, and he did it the hard way. The proud way.
Now, his family is facing the unimaginable reality of living without him. Because this tragedy was so sudden, his family cannot begin to afford the funeral and burial arrangements that William truly deserves.
We are asking our Bakersfield community, our North High football family, and anyone moved by William's story to please wrap your arms around his grieving mother, Misty, his father, and his little sisters.
How your donations will help:
100% of all funds raised will go directly to William’s mother, Misty, and his three little sisters as the family attempts to navigate this catastrophic loss.
If you cannot donate, please share this page with your friends, your family, and your sports leagues. Please keep William's memory alive, and keep his family in your prayers during the darkest days of their lives.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
