Dear Friends and Family,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Wayne Shao’s passing on May 24th, 2024.

Wayne passed away peacefully after a brief but very brave battle with metastatic carcinoma. He was at home surrounded by those who love him. To the end, Wayne maintained his thoughtfulness, consideration of others, and his sense of humor. Wayne was a best friend to his sister Joan, trusted brother-in-law to David, devoted son to his mother, and cool uncle to his niece and nephew. He was always thinking of their needs. He will be deeply missed and forever held close in our hearts.

In the wake of this unimaginable loss, we are establishing this GoFundMe to honor Wayne’s memory and to assist his family with any needs and unexpected burdens that accompany such a tragedy. 

Any contribution is deeply appreciated during this incredibly difficult time. We especially ask for your thoughts, prayers, and love as Wayne’s sister, his mother and loved ones navigate this profound loss.
