In Loving Memory of Wassillie "Sonny" Johnson

On 1/25/25, Parents Carol Johnson & Gust Johnson, along with his siblings, sadly announce the passing of a beloved son, brother, dad, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend Wassillie “Sonny” Johnson. He unexpectedly passed away at the young age of 22, in Anchorage. He had a generous heart, kind soul and a contagious laugh. Sonny would help anyone in need. He loves his son with all of his heart. He provided the best he was able to for his only son Luka. Sonny was preparing to attend training to become a heavy equipment operator, to financially provide for all that his son needed and wanted. Sonny enjoyed living a subsistence lifestyle, hauling wood with his late uncle Frank and helping his mom. He cherished all of his family and spending time with them. Sonny has so many dreams that were slowly becoming reality. His loved ones were so proud of the young man he was becoming. Sonny doted on his son and wanted to pass down his morals and ethics to his son, to teach him to be a respected individual.

If you are unable to financially support the family, we ask that you please keep Sonny’s family in prayer, as his loved ones prepare to lay him to rest, in peace.
