Walter 'Wally' Cabrera passed away on October 2, 2021 from complications of his diabetes. As many know, he had overcome so much in his 55 years of life including the loss of his sight, a heart attack, kidney failure, and amputation of both his legs. His physical health never stopped him from being a talented auto body painter, a loving family man, a dedicated friend. His resilience and optimism was an inspiration to all. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain.

Wally was a pillar in our community while a resident of Corona, CA. His community service included a role as Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Corona, an organizer for Corona's annual Cinco de Mayo Car Show, a member of the Corona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and a committee member for Riverside's Blindness Support Services. Wally was quick to help others in need. Whether they were in need of a job, a mentor, a place to stay or a prayer, you could always count on him.

With all he gave to others in mind, we are creating this GoFundMe as an opportunity to return the blessing to him and his family. Lisa, his wife of 33 years, has persevered alongside Wally and was a diligent caretaker until the end. It is my hope that we can take some financial burden off of her during this difficult time. The funds raised from this event will benefit Wally's funeral services scheduled for Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 9 AM at New Beginnings Church in Norco, CA.

Viewing will be from 9 - 10 AM followed by a service from 10 AM - 11 AM. This will be an indoor event.
