Veronica Lopez passed away on November 4 after a brief battle with kidney failure. She was the heart of our family — the matriarch who held everyone together with love, laughter, and endless hospitality.

We’re raising funds on behalf of her husband, Freddy, to help cover funeral expenses in Everett, Washington, as well as travel costs for family members coming from Arizona. The family also hopes to hold a memorial in Arizona for her many loved ones who can’t make the trip north.

As you all know, Veronica was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome. From the breakfasts and dinners she loved to host, to the game nights and jokes that left everyone laughing until their stomachs hurt. She was an incredible mother, devoted wife, and friend to all, with a generous heart and an open door.

Veronica was always there when we needed her, now it’s our turn to be there for her.

We’re asking that anyone who was touched by Veronica’s kindness consider donating to help the family give her the beautiful sendoff she deserves.
