In Loving Memory of Valerie Ramirez
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of our beloved Valerie Ramirez:
Valerie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on November 1st, 2021, at 9 years old. She began chemotherapy shortly after which completely changed her life as she faced so many challenges no child should ever go through. Valerie’s life was never the same as she wasn’t able to go to school or hangout with her friends like any normal 9-year-old would, but she remained hopeful that one day she would. Even though Valerie didn’t live a “normal life” there was one thing cancer couldn’t take away from her and that was her loving personality. Valerie had a heart of gold and a contagious smile that could light up any room. She loved to dance, make bracelets, and play Roblox. She showed her parents and siblings so much love every single day. She always put others ahead of herself and had such a noble heart. There were many ups and downs throughout her journey, but Valerie always remained resilient and rose above any obstacle that got in her way. Valerie was always a strong and brave warrior that there was no doubt she would win her fight with cancer, and she did as she was on remission. Despite being on remission, Valerie still had to undergo more chemotherapy sessions to make sure the cancer wouldn’t come back.
After one of her chemotherapy sessions, Valerie spiked a fever and if you know anything about cancer you know fevers are never a good thing. She was taken to the ER where she experienced some unexpected complications that prompted a hospital stay of 26 days. During this hospital stay Valerie ended up being in the PICU, but we got great news that she was heading in the right direction toward recovery. Everyone including the doctors were very optimistic about her recuperation, but God had other plans. It breaks our heart to say that on October 23rd, we lost our beloved Valerie. Heaven gained a beautiful angel, but we will forever have her in our hearts.
On behalf of Valerie’s parents, Mabel, and Efrain, we kindly ask for your contributions to help ease the financial worry as their world has been completely shaken. Every ounce of support will make a huge difference as 100% of donations will go directly to the Ramirez family. Every little bit helps, and we are beyond grateful for any donation. The Ramirez family needs our prayers, love, and support to be rallied around them at all times as we mourn the loss of our beautiful Valerie.
