In loving Memory of Valerie Millan
Donation protected
They say God gives the hardest of battles to only his strongest soldiers, but nothing ever prepares you to have your heart torn into pieces by the loss of a child. On Saturday August 10, Freddy & Martha had to endure the unexpected passing of their youngest child, Valerie Millan. An 19 year old beautiful, vibrant girl who had a full life ahead of her - all gone in the blink of an eye. All the memories, the laughs, hugs and times together is all that is left. How is a parent, a brother, a sister supposed to stay strong and keep going? The loss and pain are great - and as a family friend, what can you say to a mother crying on the floor for her baby? What to say to your best friend who is frantically holding onto her sister's belongings, wishing it was her sister she was holding for at least one last time. There are no words to help heal their shattered hearts. The parents are grieving and the rest of the kids are trying to process the fact that their baby sister is gone. I can't turn back time. I can't bring Valerie back or wave a magic wand to take their pain away...but I can ask my friends, family, coworkers and anyone reading this, to please find it in your hearts to help us with Valerie's services by donating to this campaign.
I can't even begin to imagine the pain a mother feels when losing a child - I am not a mother - but I will be here with arms open, helping as I can with the services while the family focuses on mending their hearts.
Valerie didn't get the chance to discuss what she would have wanted in the event that she passed, but with your help, we will do everything we can to make sure it is memorable.
