In Loving Memory of Valerie Lopez
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that my family and I announce the passing of our beloved family member - Valerie Lopez.
Valerie Lopez passed away on January 31, 2021 after battling COVID for 7 weeks in the ICU in Los Angeles. Valerie was a beautiful and amazing mother of 6, wife, sister to 9 siblings, daughter to her widowed mother, tía and friend to many. Valerie has 4 young children (12, 11, 8 and 5) who will be without their incredible mother for the rest of their lives. This is absolutely heartbreaking and the loss of a loving mother is so profound and traumatic.
Valerie was a "ride or die" family member for so many of us. We knew if we needed to talk to someone, she would answer the phone and bring a smile to our face within minutes. Her radiant smile and her bubbly laugh lit up every room she was in. Valerie spread love and happiness wherever she was. Her love was stronger than a thousand suns. Valerie was taken too early from us, but she will always live with us in our hearts and spirits. We hope and pray she is resting in peace and is now a guardian angel for her children who are grieving the immense pain with the passing of their extraordinary mother who went above and beyond everyday to be the best mother she can be. The loss of a parent like Valerie - who loved her kids with unconditional love - can never be replaced.
We lost a phenomenal mother and such a special family member. We are setting up this memorial fund in hopes to help with funeral costs and memorial costs. Please consider donating $5, $20, $50, $100 or as generously as you can. We are grieving and we are in immense pain. Any donations would be greatly appreciated from the bottom of our hearts. You can donate through Venmo, Zelle, and CashApp (my info is at the very end of this post).
Thank you and please share this fundraiser with your friends, families, and on social media so we can provide Valerie's children with the economic and emotional support that they need right now.
We are grieving and trying to figure out how to honor our beloved Valerie. The hospitals are overcapacity and funeral homes are overcapacity. Los Angeles is the global epicenter for Covid-19. It is so painful to realize that this is happening to thousands of families that we all grew up with in Los Angeles.
Every single amount truly makes a huge difference for our family. We appreciate you reading and thank you for spreading the word.
With love and gratitude,
The Lopez Family
