With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved father, Tom Plunkett. After suffering a massive stroke, he went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his entire family—a blessing for which we are endlessly grateful.

Dad was a light in every room, a man of deep kindness and quick wit. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he loved his country and never met a stranger. His heart was always open and ready to help anyone in need.

At 79, he was still working part-time at Home Depot—not by choice, but because retirement wasn’t financially possible. Before that, he spent many years as a dedicated FedEx driver and was the sole provider for our family, allowing our mother to stay home and raise their four children. He leaves behind a devoted wife, loving children, grandchildren, and many cherished friends.

-- A Miracle of God’s Timing

When doctors admitted him to the ICU, they told us we had less than 24 hours. We were blessed to say our goodbyes—but in an incredible miracle, our brother Brian, who is currently deployed overseas with the U.S. Army, made it home 60 hours later. Just 10 minutes after Brian left Dad’s hospital room, he passed peacefully into Heaven.
