On March 14, 2026, our family lost one of the strongest, most determined people we've ever known. Travis Blau, a devoted husband, an incredible father, and a warrior in every sense of the word, passed away after a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. He was surrounded by the love of his family. Travis was diagnosed with CF as a child, but from the very beginning, he refused to let the disease define him. Where others saw limitations, Travis saw challenges to conquer. He lived every single day with a fire and a purpose that inspired everyone around him. Travis never let anything get in his way not sickness, not cystic fibrosis, not even a double-lung transplant. Even in the month before his transplant surgery, Travis was showing up to CrossFit workouts with an oxygen tank strapped to his back. That was Travis. He didn't know how to quit. His story caught the attention of the Boomer Esiason Foundation, one of the leading organizations in the fight against cystic fibrosis, who featured Travis to highlight his extraordinary resilience. You can watch a video about Travis’s journey here: https://www.facebook.com/BoomerEsiasonFoundation/posts/travis-blau-%EF%B8%8F-has-never-let-anything-get-in-his-way-not-sickness-cystic-fibrosis/10157752195745827/
He became a beacon of hope and determination for the entire CF community. After his double-lung transplant on his birthday 9 years ago, Travis embraced his second chance at life with everything he had. He threw himself into CrossFit, pushing his new lungs to their limits and showing the world what was possible.
But more than any athletic accomplishment, what Travis treasured most was his family. Travis was the kind of father who gave his children the world simply by showing them what courage looks like. He was a loving and devoted husband to Diana, his rock and partner through every hospital stay, every setback, and every victory. Together they built a beautiful life full of laughter, love, and an unshakable bond. Now, Diana faces the unimaginable task of raising Francesca and Carmello without their dad by their side. The funds raised through this campaign will help Diana and the children as they navigate life without Travis. Your support will help provide for their immediate needs and offer some stability during this incredibly difficult time. Any support you can offer will help Diana, Francesca, and Carmello as they face this new chapter. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to them, and any support you provide makes a difference.
