At 4:04 a.m. on February 13th, our world changed forever. Our beloved friend, Tracy Gordon, passed away after being tragically struck by a truck the night before. What was an ordinary evening turned into an unimaginable nightmare, and her family is now left trying to process a loss that doesn’t feel real.
Tracy wasn’t just a daughter, a sister, or a friend — she was the heart of her family. She was the strong one. The dependable one. The one who carried everyone else when they were too tired or too broken to stand on their own. Her brother, who is disabled, relied on Tracy every single day. She was his support system and his comfort. She made sure he was safe, fed, cared for, and never felt alone. She gave so much of herself to the people she loved without ever asking for anything in return.
To make this tragedy even more heartbreaking, her small dog — who was with her and meant the world to her — also lost its life. The pain of losing them both at once is overwhelming. Tracy’s family was already living on a very limited income, doing everything they could just to get by. Now, in the middle of their grief and shock, they are facing the unexpected cost of cremation. They simply do not have the means to cover this expense while also trying to survive day to day.
No family should have to worry about how they are going to lay their loved one to rest while their hearts are breaking. We are asking for help to give Tracy the dignity and farewell she deserves. Any donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward her cremation expenses and help relieve some of the financial burden her family is facing during this devastating time. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and lifting her family up in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your compassion, your kindness, and for helping honor a woman who gave so much of herself to everyone around her.
