It is with extreme regret that we announce the sudden passing of our dearest Tonya, who was a bright light in this world, and will be deeply missed.
On November 2nd, Tonya joyfully celebrated her 53rd birthday, but was unexpectedly called to her eternal home just six short days later, leaving behind her two loving children.
As one can only imagine, we weren’t only shocked and saddened by the news, but also learned Tonya was recently laid off from her full-time job which provided insurance benefits. Hoping to secure another permanent position, she immediately gained employment through a temporary agency, however, her unexpected passing denied the possibility of full preparedness to accommodate a graceful home-going celebration and burial ceremony she’s so deserving of.
As a member of the Durio and White families, please join me in extending our love and support, in honor of Tonya, the God-fearing mother, daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin, friend and co-worker, who for decades saw to it that each moment was an adventure, for ALL to enjoy,
Jovial and compassionate by default, Tonya remained "the go-to person" for a good time, or the latest news, with family, friends, and co-workers alike -- personifying the essence of a true spirit-leader. She never hesitated to facilitate the needs of another, and took her role in society very seriously, remaining naturally dedicated to whatever she committed to. She maintained a high degree of pride for her children, along with endless love and respect for everyone she came to adore.
Although Tonya was known to be very specific, neat, and straight-to-the-point, she maintained an epic sense of humor, always loved a good laugh, and thoroughly enjoyed music. In a nutshell, Tonya cherished the bond and synchronicity of family and friends, remaining steadfast about doing her part to provide exactly what was needed to make every event, big or small, a success.
If you knew Tonya, you’d know how much she touched the lives of everyone around her, and so to help cope with such a loss, funds are being raised to assist with funeral related costs, in hopes of making a meaningful difference that will eliminate some of the grief a family experiences after losing a loved one so unexpectedly.
As we all remain in disbelief, by Tonya being called home way too soon, may we each find solace in knowing God has an even Greater Purpose for her now. May HIS Grace, Mercy, Peace, Strength, Protection, and Blessings cover her children like never before, and your monetary gifts provide resounding comfort and reassurance, that both Tonya and the children, are genuinely loved by those of us who are here to assist however we can.
Let us forever smile, knowing Tonya is watching over everyone – seeing to it that we are healthy, safe, happy, doing what we’re called to do, and everything remains stylishly on point -- as she is so famously known for.
Rest In Power Tonya, Our Spirit Leader! We shall continue to Love you, Uplift your name, and remember the Laughter, always…
