In Loving Memory Of Tony Hyde

Hello, My name is Sarah Hughes and I am fundraising in honor of Tony Hyde. I am Tony and Dorinda Hyde's daughter. Tony passed away suddenly on February 1, 2024 due to complications stemming from bariatric surgery he had this past November. After surgery, blood clots started to form and made their way to his lungs and heart. He underwent emergency surgery at Washington Hospital Center to remove them. The doctors tried everything possible to save Tony's life but unfortunately the blood clots had already taken their toll and he fell in to organ failure.

He passed with Dorinda by his side.

Tony was the love of my mom, Dorinda's life. He called her his Queen. He adored my mother and they had a storybook love. He was her rock, her protector and provider. I was always so happy to see how he took such good care of her. I have rarely seen two people so well matched that loved each other so much.

Tony was the type of man who impacted every person he met. He loved to crack a joke and he had a distinct and unique laugh that you would never forget. He was strong in his faith and convictions while also being one of the most kind and generous people you'd ever meet. He never hesitated to help friends or family in need. People were drawn to him and came to him for advice, comfort or just to joke around. He loved his business, Hyde's Uniform Shop at the Charlotte Hall Farmer's Market. He loved meeting and chatting with everyone who stopped by. He was proud to be a part of this community and will be greatly missed by all. We hope to keep Hyde's Uniform Shop going and would love the community's continued support.

Tony has given so much for so many and now we come to you all for your help. Due to Tony's sudden and unexpected passing, his family has been left with no financial safety net. Unfortunately Tony did not have a life insurance policy and he was also the sole breadwinner for his family. We need donations to go towards his funeral and memorial cost and would be very grateful for whatever help you can give.

We are planning to hold a memorial celebration of life gathering in honor of Tony in the spring for all who would like to attend. We would love for anyone who would like to speak or share a memory of Tony to do so. Tony would have loved that. We will post information on the memorial once the details are finalized.

We are so thankful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during such a tragic time for our family and look forward to seeing you all at Tony's memorial this spring.
