In Loving Memory of Tommy – Supporting His Family and Honouring His Life

It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we share the sudden loss of Tommy, a much loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, who passed away at just 21 years old.

Tommy was a cheeky, funny and kind hearted young man who brought so much light and laughter to everyone around him. He had so much life ahead of him, and his loss has left a hole that can never be filled.

Recently, Tommy was involved in a road traffic accident as a pedestrian. Despite the severity of his injuries, he showed incredible strength and resilience and was making positive progress in his recovery.

Tragically, due to complications, Tommy suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away far too soon. To date, the exact cause of his passing remains unknown and may take several months to be confirmed, which is incredibly distressing for the family.

As a family, we are devastated and trying to come to terms with this sudden and unimaginable loss.

We feel completely helpless and have created this fundraiser to support Tommy’s mum and dad, Michelle and Ryan, during this incredibly difficult time. The aim is to ease the financial burden of funeral costs and give Tommy the send off he truly deserves.

Any funds raised beyond what is needed for Tommy’s funeral and the family’s immediate needs will be donated to the Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in recognition of the care and support given to both Tommy and his family in his final days.

Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean so much to the family as you can imagine this has been an incredibly scary and agonising journey with an outcome that simply should not have been! No one ever expects to find themselves in a position where they are faced with having to prepare for their final farewells for a child, its just not right, especially as Tommy was seemingly well on the road to recovery. Let alone having the worry of the expense to enable them just to give their child the best send off they can, the very last thing they as parents can provide for their beloved son.

If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would also be greatly appreciated.

Rest in eternal loving peace, Tommy. You will be forever loved and never forgotten.
