Support for the Winmill Family in Loving Memory of Tom Winmill

On November 8th, our hearts were broken when Tom Winmill passed away unexpectedly. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a cherished friend to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, easy manner, generosity, compassion, great sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends touched so many. Tom’s absence leaves an unimaginable void — but his warmth, laughter, and spirit will live forever in our hearts.

Tom was a beloved member of the Ashland community since the early 1970s. Many will remember him as the founder of the Vintage Inn in downtown Ashland, a partner at Redwood Station Lumber on A Street, and a film producer at NBC’s Channel 5 in Medford. And of course, Tom could often be found working and playing at Oak Knoll Golf Course, where he loved connecting with friends.

Tom’s passion for travel, culture, and the human spirit took him around the world, and his compassion for others knew no bounds. He had a special heart for migrants, helping many find jobs and housing through his wide network of friends and business contacts. For Tom, those he helped were never just acquaintances — they became part of his extended family.

Tom leaves behind his beloved wife, Debbie, and daughters Jodi and Joanna, as well as his larger “adopted” family of friends and loved ones whose lives he so deeply touched.

We are raising funds to support the Winmill family during this difficult time — covering immediate expenses such as medical bills, funeral and memorial costs, and helping them stabilize financially without their pillar of strength.
