In Loving Memory of Tod (Scott) Barden

On March 29 2023 our ILWU Family was hit with a terrible tragedy. 41875 Tod (Scott) Barden passed away suddenly at the young age of 41, leaving behind his loving wife Lisa, 2 teenage daughters Kaylee and Echo and his dog Aussie. Scott was a proud Longshoreman who loved his wife and kids with all his heart and was the main source of income for his young family. Scott lived in Squamish and worked mostly at Squamish Terminals and took a great amount of pride in being a Longshoreman but nothing compared to how proud he was to be a loving Husband and Father and being able to provide for his young family. This tragic loss to Lisa, Kaylee and Echo has devastated them emotionally and financially, leaving them heartbroken without the leader and main breadwinner of their young family. Our motto at the ILWU has always been An Injury to One is an Injury to all...to never leave behind a fallen Sister or Brother. We can all appreciate the huge financial burden a tragedy of this magnitude would cause to any of us, and although no amount of money could ever replace Scott, anything we can do to relieve some financial distress off of our Brother's Family would be greatly appreciated. We at the ILWU are one great big family and we always take care of our own. It's times like this where we need step up and show it. ❤️
