Tiberius “Ty” Fries was a joyful, adventure-seeking 9-year-old whose smile could light up any room. Born on January 22, 2017, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ty filled the lives of everyone around him with laughter, kindness, and unforgettable memories. Ty loved big trucks, roller coasters, and superheroes. Pizza and chicken tenders were always his favorite meals. He had the sweetest giggle and a playful spirit that made everyone feel welcome. More than anything, Ty had a tender and caring heart—he always seemed to know when someone needed a hug or a friend.
His parents, Joshua and Terrin, filled his life with love and adventure, creating countless beautiful memories together. Ty was wise beyond his years and took pride in being a “good boy.” He had a special way of connecting with everyone he met, and his kindness and bright spirit left a lasting impression on so many people.
With heavy hearts, we share that Ty passed away on March 11, 2026, after experiencing complications following surgery. His time with us was far too short, but the joy, warmth, and love he brought into the world will never be forgotten. Ty was the beloved son of Joshua and Terrin Fries and the cherished grandson of Wendi and Douglas Lint, Tom and Barbara Fries, Joe Romanowski, and Tim and Viki Farr. He will also be deeply missed by extended family members, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
During this incredibly difficult time, the family is facing unexpected funeral and memorial expenses. Any support, prayers, or sharing of this page would mean so much and help ease the financial burden as they focus on honoring Ty’s life and grieving this unimaginable loss. Thank you for keeping Ty and his family in your thoughts and for helping celebrate the beautiful light he brought into this world.
