In loving memory of Therese (Tay Liang) Chan.
Therese tragically passed away peacefully on the 18th July, just over a month after her 75th birthday.
As many will know, Therese was diagnosed with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy), a rare neurological disorder that slowly robs the body of its ability to function. She spent her last month at St Joseph's Palliative Care unit in Auburn with family by her side.
In honour of her memory, our family is setting up this memorial fund to raise funds for her funeral and associated expenses. Any excess funds will be used to help tackle neurological disorders and support families affected by these diseases. This was something that was very close to her heart. We know firsthand how difficult it can be for families affected by MSA to navigate the journey through life and hope to be able to make a difference in the lives of others who are affected by these disorders.
Therese was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and an even better travel companion. She loved nothing more than planning a trip with her friends and dancing the night away.
She was a kind and caring person, and always had a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
For anyone willing to contribute, no matter how big or small - from the bottom of our hearts - we thank you.
