In Loving Memory of Susie Pearson Prussia
Donation protected
It is with great sorrow that I begin this collection due to the passing of Susie Pearson-Prussia. Susie unexpectedly passed away at her home in Green Valley, January 1, 2021 at the age of 49, leaving three children, Chelsea, Dakota and McKenna.
My hope is that with the help of a wide-reaching community, we can support her family through this tragic time. The funds raised will be used for memorial services, to aid in housing, and to support Susie’s 16 year old daughter, McKenna as she continues her sophomore year of high school. This is an immediate financial need so that she can begin to heal and focus on her schooling.
For most of my life, I’ve had a front row seat in witnessing Susie’s deep love and devotion to her family. I met my Auntie Susie 22 years ago when Chelsea became my best friend and found sister at the beginning of junior high school. Auntie Susie was vibrant, generous, fun, beautiful, and always so full of life and laughter. The quality I will remember most about her is the endless well of love she had for her children, which was evidenced by her deep strength and tenacity as she provided for them and raised them as a single parent. Somehow, she did not miss a single football game, orchestra, theater or cheerleading performance. She celebrated birthdays and occasions so proudly with homemade food, decorations, and photoshoots. She did everything for her family with a ferocity and joy that, to me, illustrated her profound understanding that each moment of life is a gift. No matter how difficult things were, she always found a way to provide for Chelsea, Dakota, and McKenna and love them “to the moon and back”. In the wake of this unexpected tragedy, I just keep thinking that the thing she would worry about most about in this situation would not be the loss of her own life, rather how difficult of an experience it will be for her children to endure.
When anything tragic happens, people always say that there are no words that can describe the magnitude of the pain that is left behind. This situation is no different. Susie was the epitome of a kind, loving, beautiful person gone too soon. Please help in spreading some light in the darkness and honoring her memory by helping her children.
