Hi, my name is Israa El-Chamaa, mother of a beautiful angel baby named Suhayla Gebara. Suhayla, my beautiful twin daughter, was born August 7, 2021 and passed away September 6, 2021.

Suhayla was a warrior, born at only 25 weeks. One day, I received a call from the NICU nurses stating that she was struggling to feed and was in an immense amount of pain. After the doctors did some investigating, they learned that she developed NEC (Necrotizing Enterocolitis), a serious gastrointestinal disease in infants, most common in preemies.

Suhayla went through an intense surgery in order to remove parts of dead bowel. Although Suhayla survived the surgery itself, she did not survive the healing process.

As a mother of 2 young children (3 and 4 years old), one being Suhayla’s twin sister, I haven’t had the time or money to buy a plaque for Suhayla’s grave.

I miss my daughter so dearly. I have been struggling on her birthday every year. My goal is to raise money in order to give her a plaque, so my children and I can begin visiting her grave together, placing flowers at her grave, etc.
