My name is Rosalie, and I am Laura Fine's sister. I've created this page to aid her in covering the expenses associated with Steve's illness and burial.

Steve was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in April of this year. His condition progressed rapidly, and we lost him on June 28, 2024. His passing completely upended Laura's life. She and Steve had been together for the past 37 years. The sudden loss of her husband and soulmate has been emotionally and financially draining for her.

Steve was a talented musician in the Minneapolis music scene. He spent his life playing in numerous bands including playing in Jimbos Forever Young, Lost Marbles, Tangled Up In Dylan and the Blutopians as well as playing 680 consecutive Sundays with Shotgun Ragtime Band at the Driftwood Char Bar. In addition to performing, he took pride in teaching not only drums, but guitar and piano to others. Laura was by his side at every gig, helping him set up and get ready to play. His legacy lives on through the fantastic music and countless friends he has made. He was a kind and trusted friend to many in our community.
