My name is Tanoyha Surjue, I am 28 years old, and I have known Soraya Sherwood for 6 years. In that time, she became such a big part of my life. Soraya was a truly special woman from Levenshulme, deeply loved by her community and by everyone she welcomed into her life. To know Soraya was to know warmth, strength, and love.

After a heartbreaking battle with cancer, Soraya has been taken far too soon. She leaves behind her two children, who were her whole world, and a family and community left completely heartbroken by her loss. Soraya had already faced so much in life, yet she carried herself with strength and continued to give love to those around her, even through her hardest times.

I have created this fundraiser to help give Soraya the dignified and loving farewell she deserves, and to help ease some of the burden now resting on the shoulders of her loved ones. At such a painful time, any support given will mean more than words can say.
