Assalaamu alaykum,

We are raising funds in loving memory of our dear mother, and sister, Labeebah Abdullah. She accepted Islam in her youth and spent a good part of her life serving this community with sincerity and quiet strength. She is the beloved mother of Brother

Saleem Rasheed, an active member and volunteer in our community, and the loving grandmother to 23 grandchildren, nine of whom are students at the Islamic Academy of Alabama.

Many of us were blessed to know Sister Labeebah through her time working at IAA and at the BIS office. She greeted people with warmth, helped wherever she could, and left a lasting impact on so many in our community. She was a mother figure to many of us. Her presence will truly be missed.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who makes duaa for them.” (Muslim)

All contributions will be directed toward sadaqah jariyah on behalf of Sister Labeebah, as a means of ongoing reward for her, in sha Allah. Please keep Sister Labeebah and our family in your duaas.

May Allah forgive her, have mercy on her, fill her grave with light, accept this charity on her behalf, and grant her the highest place in Jannah. Ameen.
