It’s hard to put into words the kind of person Simon was - because he was simply one of a kind! Warm, big hearted and full of life - Simon was fuelled by determination, kindness and a deep unwavering love for all of those around him. His larger than life presence was always felt - whether it was through his infectious laugh, his kindness or the quiet strength he carried through life’s most recent challenges.

Diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer in May, Simon faced each day with grit and grace. His fight was relentless, his spirit unbreakable and his courage quietly inspiring.

Simon adored his family - his beautiful wife Sophie and their incredible children Harry and Anna - his love was fierce and full of pride. Whether cheering them on in their achievements or simply sharing in every day moments; Simon’s joy of being a husband and father was evident in everything he did, he was always supporting his family with positivity, encouragement and never-ending love.

A well known and highly regarded member of the King’s Hill community, Simon could often be found supporting Kings Hill Cricket Club or enjoying the 19th hole at Wrotham Golf Club.

Simon’s passing on Monday 15th September 2025 after contracting Sepsis has left the most unimaginable void. To put it simply - Simon was one of the best! His passing has touched so many, and the outpouring of love and support has been truly overwhelming. Simon was a true gentleman; he was thoughtful, generous and so loved by his family and friends. He was always quick to thank the nurses at Maidstone and Pembury Hospitals, sometimes even bringing them gifts to show his appreciation.

We have created this page to honour Simon and to support Sophie, Harry and Anna. Your incredibly kind contributions will help cover funeral costs, so the family can give Simon the sendoff he truly deserves. In addition, it will allow the creation of a permanent memorial - a place where Sophie, Harry and Anna can feel close to Simon and reflect on the love he gave in abundance.

There was no-one quiet like Simon, he really was one in a million! He will be so missed by all that knew him. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, your support and for helping us to provide some support to his beautiful family at the bleakest of times.
