In Loving Memory of Simon Adair

It is with a broken heart that I am creating this page in loving memory of my beloved husband, Simon Adair, who has sadly passed away.
Simon died suddenly aged 44 in February 2025, after a very brief illness. It has been a massive shock to all who knew and loved him. Simon was a gentle giant, a kind man with a big heart. He was a deeply caring and loving soul, witty and intelligent. He was also a very talented musician, rapper, songwriter, guitarist and music producer and he had the singing voice of an angel! He was devoted to caring for his elderly mother and he was a loving husband, a dear friend, brother and firm believer in Jesus.
Many people didn't know that Simon suffered from chronic anxiety and bouts of depression for many years of his life. A lot of the time he struggled in silence, put a brave face on and tried to get by in his own way. Like Simon, many men don't seek the full help that they need due to the stigma surrounding mental health and myths about masculinity, where at times being vulnerable is seen as a "weakness". The reality is that anxiety and depression left untreated, lead to more pain and suffering. As a result many men turn to self-medicating, dependence on alcohol and substance misuse, as a coping mechanism and some even turn to suicide.
Simon dreamed of one day overcoming his struggles and being able to help other men who had suffered like he had. Sadly time was not on his side.
I would like to honor his memory and desire to help other men, by raising funds towards starting a foundation/ministry that will help men who are battling with anxiety and depression and are apprehensive about getting help. The foundation will also work to remove the stigma surrounding men's mental health in communities, organisations and religious institutions.
Donations will also go towards supporting his family with the funeral costs and a headstone for Simon.
I would like to thank you all for your support and love at this heartbreaking time.
Psalm 94:19 In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.
