“In Loving Memory of Silvia De la A”

"The passing of a loved one doesn't mean they are gone, as their spirit will live with us forever”

With deep sadness in our hearts our beloved Silvia De la A has recently passed at the age of 43. Silvia was a wonderful daughter, sister, friend, and dog mom. She touched the lives of those around her with her beautiful smile and willingness to live life to the fullest. She leaves behind her parents Nestor De la A and Vilma Perez, siblings Betsy and Wendy, and her doggie Mia.

We are humbly asking for help to aid her family with funeral and burial arrangements. Any contribution is immensely appreciated.

About our beloved Silvia - Born in Ecuador, Silvia immigrated to the United States with her parents Nestor and Vilma, to offer her and her siblings the opportunity of a better life. At the young age of 15, Silvia was diagnosed with heart disease. Yet, growing up in New Rochelle, NY, and graduating from New Rochelle HS, she lived what many would see as a normal, vibrant, young-adult life. Anyone that knew her would describe her as a hard worker, kind, friendly, and a social butterfly. She was often the life of the party no matter the size of the room.  Her laughter and smile were contagious and would brighten anyone's day.  Silvia radiated happiness and joy, instantly connecting with anyone she met.  Tragically, in 2013, her life took an unexpected turn when she experienced a stroke impacting her speech and muscle movements. The doctors expected her to recover even if slowly and over a long period of time.  Regardless of this devastating event, her vibrant personality and confidence continued shining. Her parents dedicated themselves to her care throughout the years to aid in her recovery. During this time Silvia still found so much joy in family gatherings, birthdays, holidays, and even some international travel. However, as we approached November 2022, her body was deteriorating and taking a toll on her overall health. Doctors were again optimistic that she would improve over time. Sadly, Silvia was called to heaven much too soon. She will forever be remembered by her family, friends, and all that loved her. Silvia, we love you and you will be dearly missed. Your laughter, your smile and all our memories of you will live on through your family and friends.

God bless you all.
