My name is Kamalani and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister Tiara and her children, following the sudden and heartbreaking loss of her fiancé, Sheldon Love.

Sheldon was not only my soon-to-be brother-in-law, but a devoted partner to my sister Tiara, a loving father to their 4-year-old son Kijani, and a proud stepfather to my nieces Kiara and Kimani. He was Tiara’s gentle giant — her provider, protector, and the love of her life. He poured his heart into his family and cared for them deeply every single day.

On June 30th, Sheldon tragically and unexpectedly passed away, leaving our entire family devastated. His passing has placed an overwhelming emotional and financial burden on Tiara and the children, especially as Sheldon was the main provider for their household.

Though Sheldon lived in Hawai‘i for over 30 years and loved this place dearly, his final wish was to be laid to rest in his birthplace of Mississippi. While Tiara would love to keep him close, she is honoring his wishes — a decision that comes with considerable costs.

This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the financial strain during this difficult time. All funds raised will go directly to Tiara to help with funeral expenses, travel costs, and any other unforeseen expenses related to Sheldon’s passing.

Any remaining funds will be placed into a trust for their young son, Kijani, to support his future — just as Sheldon would have wanted.
