Many of you visiting this page have had your life altered by Shelby, and probably in more ways than one. She had a way with people, and always knew how to make someone smile.
In August of 2017, Shelby was diagnosed with Melanoma Cancer, days after losing her mother to cancer. Supported by friends and family, she set out on her journey as a true warrior of light. Over the past few years, she’s become a vampire, a zombie, and an official member of the X-Men as she fought courageous battles with every MRI, CT Scan, radiation, and immunotherapy treatment.
In May of 2023, doctors found that the cancer had unexpectedly spread to her brain. Doctors removed what they could, and aggressive treatments followed, but it simply wasn’t enough to fight back the war the cancer waged on her body. After many years of fighting, and being the shining light for others, on August 4th, 2023, Shelby passed in her home, surrounded by those who loved her with two legs and four legs alike.
Funds from this, given generously by friends and family, will go to assist in paying for cremation services, memorial costs, and other financial burdens for the family as the stress of losing Shelby alone is devastating to all who loved her.
Thank you again for taking the time to read this, and please share with friends and family who were blessed by Shelby’s smiles, jokes, laughs, and love.
A Celebration of Life Open House Memorial will be held for Shelby on Saturday, August 12th from 6-8pm at The Witty Whisker Cat Cafe if you'd like to stop in, share some tea or coffee and love on the kitties just as Shelby loved to do.
