In memory of Sharron “Sweets” Williams - Sweet Sensational Sexy Super Sharron Williams
We are sad to say that our family, friends and community are grieving the unexpected loss of the amazing mother, sister, friend, and dedicated community service mentor Sharron Williams.
We lost Sharron on Thursday, June 8th in a tragic motor vehicle accident while she was on her way to work. Since that date, our lives have not been the same. We have lost her supportive, caring, and jovial nature which will forever be missed.
Sharron absolutely adored her family, friends, nieces, nephews and all her welcomed "2nd children" that she’s touched over the years.
Sharron spent much of her youth growing up in Jane and Finch, and her community participation and work began there as well.
She began her professional journey as a Camp Supervisor and after graduating as an SSW, Sharron transitioned to being a Child Youth Worker, Program Coordinator, and Director ending her journey as a Youth and Safety Initiatives Manager.
She dedicated her life to the care, support and advocacy of community families, disadvantaged youth, children and individuals that were in need of support and resources. She shone her light in multiple ways, especially through the work she accomplished across the GTA, including areas such as ChalkFarm, Trethewey, Brampton, Mississauga, Downtown Toronto and Scarborough- Kingston/Galloway and BayMills.
She was a wonderful lifelong friend who treated everyone she met with respect and kindness; her ability to make new friends was astounding. Through her work, she has touched many hearts and souls and has left an unforgettable legacy. Sharron’s journey in life will be missed by everyone and we hope to continue her legacy into the future.
We have created this GoFundMe page in response to multiple requests for a space, and opportunity, to allow those in the community who know her to show their support. We hope to start an initiative/foundation in honour of Sharron to continue the legacy that she has started.
For the ones who would love to share stories, memories, interactions or thoughts please feel free to use Guest Book.
We sincerely appreciate any and everyone who wishes to contribute to this initiative in appreciation of our beloved Sharron during this time. Please do not feel obligated to contribute, we will provide further details as we develop the initiative.
Thank you.
