My name is Jordan Kersch, and I am creating this fundraiser to help my family cover the funeral expenses for my beloved mother, Shari Kersch, who tragically passed away after being struck by a car while riding her bicycle on October 25, 2026, at 1:22 p.m. at the intersection of Transit Road and Strasmer Road. She was on her way to Stiglmeier Park, doing something she had loved throughout her life.
My mother was a lifelong cyclist who found joy in riding her bicycle. She also dedicated over 40 years of her life to nursing and was a longtime employee at Brothers of Mercy. Throughout her career, she devoted herself to caring for others, making a difference in countless lives through her compassion, dedication, and commitment to helping those in need. She spent decades giving so much of herself to others, and it is heartbreaking that we now have to say goodbye to someone who meant so much to so many.
Losing my mother so suddenly has been devastating for our family. Along with the emotional pain of her unexpected passing, the cost of funeral arrangements has placed an overwhelming financial burden on us, leaving us facing significant debt during an already incredibly difficult time.
We are asking for help to ease some of this financial strain so that we can focus on grieving, remembering my mother, and honoring her life and legacy. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean so much to our family. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would also be deeply appreciated.
My mother spent more than four decades caring for others, and cycling was a lifelong passion of hers. Our hope is that, in this difficult moment, we can receive some of that same kindness and support in return as we work to honor her memory.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity, compassion, and support as we navigate this heartbreaking loss. We are incredibly grateful for anything you can do to help us honor Shari’s life and legacy.
