In loving Memory of my mom, Shara Barber

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of my mother, Shara Barber days before this last Christmas. She passed from sudden unexpected and unexplainable health complications that none of us could have imagined could ever come this soon. My mom, 53 years of age was full of life- happy, creative, thoughtful and a mom to us four kids and grandma to 3 grand babies.

She loved to spend time with us, throw parties, cater events, and what truly brought her joy was seeing others happy with what she could do for them. Whether it was to bring them a thoughtful gift, make someone a hot meal or give a stranger the shirt she had if they needed it. If you knew my mom, you knew she had a bright, loving and loud personality that filled any room she walked into and now we find our lives eerily quiet without her here.

We are all at a loss of words, trying to piece together our lives with his sudden loss of our mom. The feelings of disbelief, heartache, and longing to be able to talk to her again continue to nag at us as the reality of her being gone truly begins to set in.

My mom loved community. She loved to be around people and have a fun time. We want to honor my mom as she deserves to be celebrated and remembered in a beautiful way by putting a ‘Celebration of Shara Barber’s life’ together.
