In Loving Memory of Shannon Ruiz: Our Light and Healer

On Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, our hearts were shattered when we lost someone irreplaceable. Shannon Marie Ruiz. Shannon was a healer, a guide, and a radiant soul whose love rippled far beyond our family.

If you knew Shannon, you knew magic.

She lived by the name Wise River, and she was every bit as flowing, wise, and powerful as the name suggests. A devoted Reiki healer, she truly believed her mission on Earth was to heal others and she did. Whether you were a friend, client, stranger, or even just someone scrolling past her videos, Shannon had a way of making you feel seen, heard, and loved.

She believed in many gods, many truths, and that love was always the highest path.

Shannon was the most vibrant person in any room, especially during the holidays. Christmas, Halloween, Easter .. they lit her up, and she lit up everyone around her with that same joy. She lived for the festive spirit. Her love for the holidays wasn’t just about decorations or gifts, but about connection, family, and the shared energy of love.

She adored animals, especially her pets, and believed they had souls as pure as any human. She loved fancy shoes, crystals, dragons, the ocean, the trees, sushi and ordering everything on the menu when we went out together. just so we could taste it all.

Most of all, she loved her children. Being a mom was everything to her. She loved hard. She gave her entire being to her children and the people she cared for.

We are still trying to understand how this happened. Her passing was sudden, heartbreaking, and without warning. There are no words that can describe the weight of this loss for us.
