With profound sadness, we come to you with this request for your support. Early Tuesday morning on January 11, Sgt Jeffery S. DeYoung unexpectedly was called to his heavenly home. This loss has placed an enormous void in the hearts and lives of all who knew him. Jeff lived his life with courage, love and compassion. Jeff was a 21-year South Holland Police Department member recently promoted to Sergeant. Jeff impacted many lives, whether you met him once or knew him since childhood. Jeff was a brother in Christ and an amazing husband, father, brother, son and friend. He leaves behind a loving wife, a 12-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son. .
