Thank you for coming to the GoFundMe page for Ed's family. My name is Susan and I have been friends with Ed's wife since we were four.

On January 27, 2025, Sgt. Edward Sean Meaney passed and lost his courageous battle with PTSD. Ed and Amy have been a couple since the were teenagers and have been married for 25 years. They have five beautiful children, and grandchild; they are now are left without their precious, funny, caring and dedicated father/Poppy.

As Amy and the children figure out how to live without Ed; I am asking for your financial support. There will be a gap in the family’s income as paperwork moves through the military and government bureaucracies, and bills don’t stop. Getting those bills paid reduces the burden just a little of such a massive loss.

Ed had a special ability to make everyone feel welcome, he was a proud dad/poppy, he enjoyed cooking, sharing jokes (the lamer the better). I recently heard a co-worker of Ed's share that Ed had a special way of knowing if someone was having a hard time mentally and made them feel they had a safe space to share and get things off of their chest/mind.
