In Loving Memory of Sebastian Hernandez
Donation protected
My name is Oscar Alanis, and with a heavy heart, I’m sharing the story of my brother, Sebastian Hernandez. A father, a son, a grandson, and a friend who was taken from us far too soon.
Sebastian lost his life due to excessive force by police in a moment when he needed compassion, not violence. He was not a threat, yet treated as if he were less than human. His life was ended in a way that no one should ever endure.
Sebastian was so much more than what happened to him.
He was a loving father to his 11-year-old daughter, who he was so proud of. This summer, they had plans — to laugh, to cheer at her soccer games, to just enjoy life together. He was a devoted son to Sonia George, and a cherished grandson to Linda Garcia. He was the guy cracking silly jokes, lighting up the room, and always showing his huge, beautiful heart.
Now, our family is left in shock and heartbreak. We’re searching for answers, trying to understand how such cruelty could be shown to someone who only needed help. Our community is grieving with us, outraged and heartbroken by the lack of empathy shown in his final moments.
We’re asking for your help to:
• Give Sebastian the memorial and funeral he deserves
• Support our legal journey as we demand truth, justice, and accountability
Every dollar helps. Whether you’re able to give $1 or $100, or simply share this page with others — it means the world to us. Your kindness and support are how we begin to heal, and how we make sure his story is never forgotten.
Thank you for helping us honor Sebastian with the love, respect, and dignity he always gave others.
