In Loving Memory of Scamp

Scamp was so much more than a pet. He was our child, our world, and our reason for waking up every morning. For 11 years and 2 months, he filled our lives with unconditional love, happiness, comfort, and countless memories that we will cherish forever.

On Tuesday, June 9th, at 4:05 a.m., our sweet boy crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The silence he left behind is deafening, and life without him has been one of the hardest things we have ever faced.

For nearly two years, Scamp bravely battled kidney failure. Despite everything he endured, he never stopped fighting. Every night, he received IV fluids to help keep him comfortable and give him more time with us. It became a team effort—his dad would hold him close while his mom administered his fluids and medications. Through it all, Scamp remained strong, patient, and full of love.

His care required a special prescription diet, multiple medications, frequent veterinary visits, and even surgery just a few months ago in an effort to improve his quality of life. We did everything we possibly could to keep him with us for as long as we could. Every decision we made came from a place of love because Scamp deserved nothing less.

The journey took a tremendous toll on us emotionally, mentally, and financially. Watching someone you love struggle is heartbreaking, and we would have moved mountains if it meant keeping him healthy and happy. While we have no regrets about the care we provided, we are now left with over $3,000 in CareCredit debt from his medical treatments. With our current bills and financial obligations, paying off this balance will take us a very long time.
