Hello, my name is Brooke Bardeen, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of the family and loved ones of Sandra Marisol Fuentes Huaracha.

Marisol was my best friend and coworker. I had the honor of standing beside her throughout her fight against domestic violence and witnessed her incredible courage in the pursuit of justice.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the tragic loss of our beloved friend, Sandra Marisol Fuentes Huaracha — a vibrant soul taken far too soon due to an act of domestic violence. Sandra was a victim of abuse and was murdered by her abuser.

Sandra was a woman of deep faith and fierce compassion. A devoted Catholic, she poured her time, energy, and love into her community, her work, and her family. Her kindness was boundless, and her selflessness touched every life she encountered. Her beautiful smile

Many knew Sandra from Lacasita restaurant, where her warm smile and contagious laugh made every guest feel like family. She wasn’t just part of the experience — she was the experience. Her presence lit up the room and left lasting impressions on countless hearts. Sandra would have wanted us to emphasize how beautiful she was… but beautiful doesn’t begin to her graceful presence, genuine glow, and eyes full of kindness. She loved without limits, gave without hesitation, and carried herself with a quiet strength that inspired everyone around her.

We are raising funds to:

• Ship Sandra’s remains and belongings home to Mexico, where her family is waiting to lay her to rest

• Support her grieving family both in Mexico and here in the U.S.
