In Loving Memory of Samantha: Support Her Family

On September 13th, 2024 the Cortes family suffered a sudden and devastating loss when Samantha passed away. Samantha was a supportive wife, mother and sibling. She would speak proudly about her family, even when life was difficult. She was a great friend who was a good listener, had something positive to say. She was always up for new or unusual adventures. Samantha will also be greatly missed by her students and colleagues in the teaching profession. She spent the last 24 years as a dedicated professional at JD Smith Middle School where she taught a variety of subjects. Samantha was a genuinely kind, delightful and beautiful soul. She is a light in this world that will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
