In Loving memory of Samantha “Sammi” Jean Ulmer

Sammi passed away in May of 2025 at just 24 years old in a tragic car accident. While her life was far too short, it was marked by extraordinary kindness, selflessness, and a deep love for others.

Sammi spent her life thinking of every one else. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by kids of all ages. When Sammi was with kids her face would truly shine. Such a light to the world. It was impossible not to see how deeply she loved them and how naturally she connected with them.

Some of Sammi’s happiest and most meaningful moments were spent doing service work in the Dominican Republic. Service to others especially children in underserved communities brought her a sense of purpose and fulfillment that meant everything to her. In fact, before she passed she had decided she was ready to go back on another service trip to the Dominican Republic - a place and a mission that held a special place in her heart.

On February 6th Sammi would have celebrated her 25th birthday. In her honor, her family would like to raise funds to sponsor a student or students to go on that service trip, allowing another young person to experience the same joy, growth, and sense of purpose that Sammi found from serving others.

This campaign is our way of turning remembrance into action - of carrying Sammi’s heart for service, love for children, and joyful spirit forward. Every donation, no matter the size, helps continue the work she cared so deeply about
