Hello, my name is Daisy, and I am writing this on behalf of Sammy’s parents.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Samantha Ortiz, lovingly known as Sammy. Samantha was only 17 years old. She was a senior at San Marcos High School and had a deep love for her friends, her family, and especially her dogs. Sammy brought joy, kindness, and light to those around her, and her loss has been incredibly sudden and devastating.

Her passing has taken a tremendous toll not only on her family, but also on her friends, classmates, and everyone who knew and loved her. At this time, we do not yet have details regarding her services, but updates will be shared as soon as that information becomes available.

All donations from this fundraiser will go directly to Sammy’s parents to support them with any expenses or needs they may have during this incredibly difficult time, for both Sammy and their family.

There will be a memorial honoring Samantha at San Marcos High School. Details will be shared once they are confirmed.

Con el corazón lleno de dolor, compartimos el fallecimiento de Samantha Ortiz, conocida con cariño como Sammy. Samantha tenía apenas 17 años. Era estudiante de último año en San Marcos High School y amaba profundamente a sus amigos, a su familia y, especialmente, a sus perritos. Sammy llenaba de alegría y luz a todos los que la conocieron, y su partida ha sido repentina y profundamente devastadora.

Su fallecimiento ha afectado enormemente no solo a su familia, sino también a sus amigos, compañeros y a todos los que la amaban. En este momento, aún no contamos con información sobre los servicios funerarios, pero compartiremos cualquier actualización tan pronto como esté disponible.
