On June 22, our kind and beautiful Ruby tragically lost her life in a heartbreaking act of violence. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend whose light touched so many. In the wake of this unimaginable loss, the family is setting up this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of her memorial and to ensure that her young son is supported and cared for in the days and years ahead.

Ruby was a beautiful, radiant soul. She was a loving and devoted mom to her one-year-old son. She was kind, talented, creative, and full of warmth. So many people have reached out sharing how she touched their lives, from family who remembered her kindness, to friends who saw her strength and compassion. She had a way of making people feel safe, seen, and loved. Her kindness was also evident in how much she cared for animals, and how she always took in strays and made sure an animal was safe.

Now, Ruby’s son is left behind without her. We’re doing everything we can to make sure he is surrounded by love. He’s safe with family, and we’ll support him as he adjusts to this new reality. We want to give him stability, care, and the chance to know who his mom was: a kind loving soul who loved him deeply.
