In Loving Memory of Roy Joseph Rea, Sr.
Donation protected
In November 2022, our dad was diagnosed with cirrhosis. After many ER visits and countless tests, the doctors found a way to help him manage the condition, and for a while, he was doing okay.
Then, in November 2024, a scan revealed a tumor. It was confirmed to be cancerous, and while they eventually treated it with radiation in February 2025 and successfully killed the cancer, our dad never truly recovered. His health continued to decline until one day he experienced severe stomach pain and was rushed to the hospital. There, we learned he had developed a very aggressive infection that had entered his bloodstream. Sadly, he couldn’t fight it off, and it took him from us far too soon.
Now, our mom is facing an overwhelming financial burden. Our parents didn’t have life insurance, and their health insurance only covers so much. She’s left with large deductibles and out-of-pocket medical bills. On top of that, she’s lost half of their household income. We’re trying to raise funds to help cover funeral costs and some of these medical expenses.
If you’re able, please consider donating. And whether or not you can give, we deeply appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for being here for our family.
