Our hearts are heavy as we share the loss of our beloved mother, sister, aunty -Rosemary Agho, who passed away at age 57 four days after her birthday, after a long and painful fight with kidney failure and stage 4 cancer. She faced every challenge with courage and faith that inspired everyone who knew her.

Even in her final days, she spoke often about home— Edo State-Benin City in Nigeria, and the place of her origin. Her deepest wish was to return home and be laid to rest among her family and roots. It was the dream she held onto when the treatments became harder, and when the days became longer and painfull.

Anyone who knew her knows the kind of love she gave, and she was the kind of woman who lighted up a room, who lifted others even when she was suffering, who made sacrifices quietly and wholeheartedly. She was our joy and the person who held our family together.

Now, in this moment of grief, we want to honor her dream. We want to take her home—to Edo State, where generations of our family rest, and where she always believed her spirit belonged.

Unfortunately, the cost of transporting her home, arranging her burial, and supporting the family through this unexpected tragedy is beyond what we can manage.
