Help Us Lay Ronald Lastra to Rest

It is with broken hearts that we share the unexpected loss of Ronald Lastra—a son, a brother, an uncle, and someone who was a BIG part of so many people’s lives.

If you knew Ronald, you knew exactly who he was. He was carefree, loyal, real, and completely unapologetic about being himself. He had that no-bullshit personality that you either understood immediately or learned to love. He could make you laugh, drive you crazy, tell you exactly what he thought, and somehow still leave a footprint on your heart that you will carry forever.

Ronald’s life was not always easy. He experienced tremendous loss, including the tragic deaths of both his mother and father. Behind the tough exterior was a man who deeply missed his parents, loved his brother, Richard, and absolutely adored his nieces.

Ronald and Richard shared a bond that only brothers can understand. Richard has now experienced the unimaginable loss of his mother, his father, and now his only brother—all through tragic and unexpected circumstances. There are simply no words for the weight of that kind of loss.

Ronald may not have always traveled the straightest or easiest road in life, but that was part of what made him Ronald. Through every chapter, one thing remained the same: he was loyal, he was real, and when he loved you, he loved you hard. If you were riding with Ronald, he would do anything for you.

He was full of life. He was unforgettable. And whether you knew him for years or crossed paths with him for only a season, chances are there is a story, a laugh, or a memory of Ronald that you will never forget.

Our family is now trying to process a loss we were never prepared for while also facing the financial responsibility of giving Ronald the farewell he deserves. We are asking for help with his funeral, cremation, and final expenses so that we can lay him to rest with dignity and surround him with the love he gave to so many throughout his life.

Ronald, you were one of a kind. You were loved more than you probably ever realized, and your absence will be felt in more lives than you could have imagined.
