In Loving Memory of Roger Hoback

A few days ago the world lost a great man, Roger Hoback. His unexpected and sudden passing has left us all heartbroken.

If you knew Roger, you know what a remarkable, charitable, and talented person he was. I met Roger through his daughter Amber back in our school days, and I was immediately captivated by his generosity of spirit, his easy engagement, and his warm demeanor. I was a musician, and quickly discovered the same love for music in him. Most special to me, was his absolute pride in Amber, and his enthusiastic participation and interest in her life. When her school needed a coach, Roger stepped in to support Amber and her team. All through his life, from the easy times to the tough times, Roger was always there and ready to help no matter what. Roger loved his daughter with integrity, consistency and did so without self-consciousness or reservation. I will always admire him for that honest love. In turn, Roger was so loved by so many, and my story above is just one ray of light that he shined on me.
