Hello,

 

My name is Som Lim, and I'm starting a fundraiser for my mother Roeun Im. My mother developed an aneurysm that grew near her heart and was about to rupture. They took her in for an emergency surgery right away. The surgical/doctors have done a phenomenal job as they repaired the aneurysm. Despite the efforts of the doctors and surgeons, her health took a turn for the worst. My mother was fighting for her life during recovery. The surgery took a huge toll on all of her systems and organs.

My mother was so strong. She came to Canada with my dad and sister's from Thailand in 1984. Immigrating from Cambodia as the country was at war. Her soft voice and alpha mentality along with my late father kept our family together. I will update everyone on the date of the funeral and visitation.
