Donate to the Loving Memory of Robert Mechlin,
organized by Amanda Flaherty

On Friday September 12, the Mechlin family was changed forever. Robert has been fighting cancer for the past 16 years. His love for God and his family compelled him to never give up. Though he fought a good fight, the pain was overbearing and he was ready for peace.

Robert's nickname "The Mayor" laughingly was because he was a friend to all and deeply connected to his community. One of those special people that would do anything for a friend, or even a stranger. His kindness touched so many. Robert's love for his family was immeasurable and everyone knew they were the loves of his life and the reason for his existence.

Behind Robert's daily fight for life was another courageous person, his wife Victoria. Victoria who not only cared for her husband day and night, works a full time job and has three children. Victoria has stood by Robert's side through chemo, radiation, surgeries and countless doctors appointments. A lifelong commitment of sacrificial love.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in his memory to support the financial burdens (Roberts enormous medical bills, mortgage and of course high school and college) that will now be the sole responsibility of his wife Victoria, as the mother of his young daughter Stephanie, and their severely disabled, autistic son Sebastien.

May God Bless all of you for being a part of Robert and our family.

With love,
Amanda
