In loving memory of Richard Vu
Donation protected
Hello everyone, we are Richard Vu’s middle school and high school classmates. The money raised will be used to support Richard’s family in the next few months as they navigate the expenses from his unexpected loss. Please share this with all and donate what you can.
On Tuesday, February 27th, the world lost Richard, a kind, gentle soul who wanted nothing more than to connect with people. All of us who knew Richard from middle and high school remember him as one of the hardest working, smartest kids in the school. He was the co-valedictorian of our graduating class and went on to Swarthmore College where he majored in Neuroscience and minored in Psychology.
But there was a Richard that went deeper than academics. The real Richard learned Spanish so he could talk to the people he met on the bus around San Diego. This Richard was passionate about self-improvement and about making a difference in people’s lives by inspiring a love of truth and learning. He lived his life in search of meaning and always in pursuit of real connections with people. For those of us who had that connection with Richard, we will miss him deeply.
In the past few years, Richard taught youth facing racial and socioeconomic disparities, frequently donated to charitable organizations, and volunteered for various philanthropic causes. He was remarkably selfless. His acts of kindness leave a mark on all who knew him.
Please consider making any contribution. No matter the size, you will make a significant impact during this challenging time.
