Hello, I'm Derrick AUGUSTUS Sutherland Jr, loving father of Ricardo Louis Augustus Sutherland. It is with an immensely heavy heart that I share the tragic loss of my beloved son, who passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025. Ricardo was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a cherished son whose life was cut far too short.

Ricardo leaves behind his wife, Davida Sutherland, and their young daughter, Teona Sutherland, who meant the world to him. He was a man who radiated love and joy, a beacon of strength and kindness for his family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter was infectious, his heart generous, and his dedication to his family unmatched. His sudden passing has left an irreplaceable void in our lives.

Ricardo was also a son any parent would be proud of. His mother, Sheila Powell, and I are devastated by this unimaginable loss. As parents, you never expect to bury your child, and the pain we feel is beyond words.

In this time of grief, we are coming together to honor Ricardo's memory and support his family as they navigate the overwhelming challenges ahead. Funeral expenses, ongoing household needs, and ensuring a stable future for Teona are just some of the immediate financial burdens they are facing. We hope to alleviate some of this strain with the support of the community.
